A Workshop on Code Hygiene

Oliver comes from Bavaria in Germany. He studied mathematics and economics at the FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg where he finished his Master of Science in 2021. For his master thesis he joined a research group of the research center Juelich, where he participated in the further development of the FINE python package. He also was active as student consultant in the local student consultancy club.

Version Control Systems (VCSs) are used in nearly all professional software projects to organize code and the development work with colleagues. One of the most commonly used VCSs is git. The workshop will focus on how to use git and will explain various workflows.

5. Basic Knowledge in one programming language (preferably Python)
